Some ppl may have heard it. I'm trying to change from addressing hubby as Qopuy to Hazmi. (Not an easy task, it seems) Why? Hmm, I find it weird when our families met, mummy addressed him as Qopuy in front of his parents. I don't find it weird coz mummy said it, I find it weird when we use it in front of his parents. Maybe it won't be weird anymore after some time, maybe they'll get used to it. But I don't want that. To me, it's not appropriate. Even in my extended family, everyone calls him Qopuy. From Mak, To Abah, Nyah, Bang Own, Kak Yong and the kids. It seems like a small matter now but in the long run, I don't want my hubby to be known as Qopuy to my relatives, especially to my nephews and nieces. It is just not appropriate in families. It's ok among friends but in order to change it in my family, I have to start first. (Actually mummy did) So guys, sorry to confuse u all but I'm in the process of changing that name. Lets get used to the new name, Hazmi! =)

Paintball report
Yesterday, 18th February 2006, Yat, Aida and I went paintballing under UMNO London. I knew my arm was not completely healed yet but I didn't think paintballing would make it worse. (No, it didn't although I did come back with extra bruises) We took a bus from MSD and our journey to Surrey took about an hour. I was kinda sleepy that morning and wanted to take a nap on the way there but couldn't since we got very excited and didn't stop talking at all. Once we reached there, I started to feel scared. That time, I had no idea why I wanted to go paintballing in the 1st place. Every0ne else looked very into it. We were given an overall, a goggle (the helmet thing) and a hooper (the bullet feeder) Haha, we looked like pilots in the picture though, or mechanics. =p
We played 5 games in total, 10 rounds that is (Change side after 1 round). During the 1st game, we were kinda blurr...and cowards. Refused to get out of the hut and just shooting and got shot inside there. Yat "got killed" dramatically in the 2nd round when a guy ran past the hut and managed to shoot her while running when there was only both of us left in the hut. I was like "Oh, NOOO! Yat!!! Don't leave me alone. I'm scared" haha. Useless...

The 1st game, each team were given 2 huts, and the mission is to conquer the other team's base. 2nd mission is to get into a "castle", go upstairs and throw a bomb in the opponent's side. In the next mission, one team has to choose a president and they have to protect the president while bringing him/her to the other side without getting shot, which makes the mission of the other team is to shoot the president. 4th mission: We have to grab a flag in the middle of the battle field and bring it to the opponent's base again. Our last fight was to shoot everyone from the opponent's team.
We had lunch (nasi lemak) after 2 games and continued playing until about 3 something. We boarded the bus and started our journey back to MSD at 4pm. Our team (Yellow team) won only 2 out of 10 rounds. Quite a disadvantage to have all 3 of us in a team. Sorry guys. Hehe. But I didn't regret it. I had fun losing and having fun with Yat & Aida. Thanx for coming, u two. Bcoz of u guys, I really enjoyed myself. Not to forget, Marina, Aiman & Mad too. We rawks. Haha. At least, now I have the experience but that's it. I'm NOT going again. Haha. Seriously, I'm useless... or even a burden to the team.

Soulmates, we are
I was very tired and sleepy when I arrived home that evening from paintballing. Performed my isya' prayer, took a rest while dina was cooking, ate dinner,
then straight away went to bed. Called and talked to hubby for awhile until both of us fell asleep. That was around 9pm, London Time. Being not a light sleeper, I don't usually wake up in the middle of the night unless I've had like 10 hours of sleep or my alarm goes off or I had a nightmare. But this morning, I woke up at 4+am. Wondered what happened since I didn't have a nightmare, my alarm had not went off and I've only slept for like 7 hours. Not wanting to get out of bed, I went back to sleep and woke up only at 6.30am. Only then, I once again call my bf to wish him "good morning". Then, I asked him, did he just wake up too. He said, no... he woke up like 2 hours earlier. Owh, that explains it... that explains why I suddenly woke up at 4+am. heh. Miss u more & more, honey. Can't wait for u to be here again ;)

Should i or should i not
Help! I'm in dilemma. Should i go to Jitsu training or not? After 2 weeks of resting, my arm does feel better (except for the part that i can't make it straight). However, yesterday, while rushing to school and pushing my way into the tube, my arm got stretched and it hurts again. I have been absent from Jitsu training 2 weeks now. I really need to go for this weeks' training but with this arm, i don't know if i can do anything at all as orange belt syllabus involves a LOT of breakfalling. Pre-grading is just 3 weeks away... I really wanna grade with Mimi, Priscilla, Laura and all.

hey u
last weekend, when i called my father, i was so excited. haven't been able to share stories and listen to his sarcastic jokes for a long time. i was really glad that things starting to work out again between us. i do miss the ol times. but i always thought that i could only get one or the other, dad or hubby. was kinda worried but didn't actually believe that the theory would hold. i mean, i'm quite confident my relationship with hubby is pretty strong. 2 nights after my "reunion" with my dad, hubby's not so in a good mood anymore. owh my. i really can't have both huh? well, my wish is everyone's happy with their lives. Loves Papa and Can't Live Without Hubby... Yeah, that's all i wanna say. Dun wanna put extra pressure in my already tight head.

Poor left arm
Last Friday, I went for Jitsu alone since Mimi was really not well. Training went on as usual. Not that fun coz when Mimi & Laura aren't there and Robert Craig had to be the guy standing in the middle, I had to go first. (And I am always lost and blurr.) After a troubled-dizzy session, I have to practise groundfighting with Priscilla. On a 2nd day of period, I was not really into it. Already sleepy and tired (from lack of iron during period, I think), I had to do it anyway. We fought for a couple of minutes until energy was all drained out of the body. Up to a point when I was trying to stabilize myself onto the ground with my left hand, Priscilla jumped on me from behind. I fell down, broken my balance and my left hand bent the wrong way. Felt some bones clashed but lucky me, I didn't break any. Just some torn muscle. But that was enough to make me a little bit 'handicapped' for awhile.
Wore slings at Hana's bday party (Natte put it on for me), had Aida and Jid tied up my hair, Mimi put on my jacket, Dina decided to order in on the day I should cook... hmm, not that bad actually, now that I think of the "perks". But it was kinda difficult to work with 1 hand. I wouldn't think it would be that hard. Maybe we sometimes take for granted things that are not so important, like for a righthanded person like me, the left hand. But when it is taken away from u, u'd feel how difficult life is without it. Having difficulties to take a shower, put my shirt on, sleep, carry my hot chocolate etc. But everyone's been supportive especially my housemates and even my far-away-hubby. Thanx guys. U r the best. Last word b4 I continue doing my hw, appreciate the little things u have around u for when it's gone, u r going to miss it. Syukur to Allah for ALL the blessings we receive in our lives. ;)
p/s: my forearm is now kinda blue-ish. A normal sign, I was told. Getting much2 better; can move, can touch, can feel, can carry my mug upstairs. Just can't be fully bent or straighten, move heavier objects and grip tightly. So I guess, no worries =)

2nd soul-call
I did an entry about my soulcall a few weeks ago. Last few days, something similar happen again. Just woke up early one morning, I tried to call hubby. However, the call was diverted to his voicemail. That shouldn't be the case if he's on the line bcoz I should still be connected through call waiting. Before I could blame maxis for a lousy connection, my hotlink line suddenly rang. Hubby's calling. Owh. No wonder I couldn't get through. Apparently, hubby tried to call my o2 line and was connected to my voicemail as well. That's y he had to try my 012. We must have call each other at the same time that the signal clashed and were diverted to our voicemails instead. Uhh, Miss HubbY!
My 3rd 2nd name is Azmimi
Seems like Mimi & I were very enthusiast students. We were the only 2 students in our Japanese class for the 1st half an hour last week and we also the only 2 out of 3 students who went for Jitsu last Friday. For Japanese class, I guess ppl didn't know where the class was (I checked the LSE room booking to find out) but for Jitsu, I have no idea why everyone didn't turn up. Maybe coz sensei's now concentrating on our groundfighting training so less ppl showed up. Hmm, not like sensei abandon the usual training. Whatever their reasons were, Mimi & I got our personal training that day.
Since Mimi & I are always seen together in these classes, I think ppl knows us as Azmimi & Farah than our individual names. As ppl tend to remember anyone by his/her 1st name, so my name is technically now Azmimi. Our senseis' (in Jitsu and Japanese) kept getting our names mixed up. Haha. I find it funny coz in primary school, I was Farah Nadia. In high school, I was Farah Hani. Now Farah Azmimi. Hmm, wonder y I wasn't Farah Yati in KMYS =p

1st Week of Lent Term
Hmm, the 1st week of term has past. We had to finish last term's materials in our classes. Microecons EC201 was the worst with 1 essay, 1 structure question and the weekly quiz. New lecturers for AC211 Management Accounting and AC212 Principles of Finance. There was a tube strike on Monday so we had to go to our first day of school by bus. I started my volunteering work with Breakthrough Breast Cancer on Wednesday. I would say i enjoyed working there. Don't have to think that much so no stress. All we had to do was to count the stock. Mimi & I went back to our Jitsu training. There is so much to do this term... Groundfighting and another grading. Gosh! And that's about it, i guess.
Was ReALLY happy to be able to wake up late yesterday after a week long of early mornings. Currently obsessed with the song Always by Blink 182 as u might be listening to right now if u turned on ur speaker, using internet explorer (won't work on morzilla firefox, i think) and there's no problem with the host website. "Thanx" to abg for introducing this song to me. Owh, had A LOT of weird, scary dreams these past few days. The worst was about receiving my 2nd year result slip and i did horribly. I REALLY HOPE that won't come true. Mummy, at home, was so mad with her laptop and yahoo account and streamyx bought maxis 3G wireless connection for her laptop. Now she can get internet connection anywhere. Hmm, what else? MMU just started their term break. Hubby finished his exam and is back home working. Miss u darling... I wanna go back to Malaysia just like i did in this morning's dream. Owh, to u peeps, don't bother visiting my dreamworld link as i haven't been updating it for quite some time now.

Stuck in flood in Perlis & Harry Potter at last
That morning hubby sent us to airport. Mummy, abg and I were going back to Perlis. We took a flight to Kedah and rent a car back home. Little that we know that flood was starting in the north states. It took us more than 3 hours to reach home when it should only take less than an hour. That night, electric was turned off for safety. Since water was rising, the authorities didn't want anyone to get electricuted. Monday morning, Kangar was closed, water level was up to the waist in the town. Mummy and I panicked, decided to rushed back home. Tried hard to find alternative route since highway and main roads were closed. Arrived at the airport around 2. There was a flight at 3.30pm but we were not on the list bcoz our flight's supposed to be at 9pm. Waited in front of the counter to be on the flight. Lucky us, although it was full, some ppl didn't turn up so we flew back to KL. Fuhh...
That night, I went to Mid-valley again with abg and this time at last, I get to watch Harry Potter. What a hassle. Didn't get to watch it with hubby though... but hubby gave his blessing, heh.
Narnia & Dinner with Hubby's Parents
I really wanted to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire since it was released. But I wanted to watch it in Msia with hubby since I'd been very bz b4 I came back. planned to watch it in Melaka with hubby, drove there for 8+pm show and drove back home right after. However, hubby said it would be dangerous to drive that late at night so he came to KL on friday. He arrived quite late, we couldn't watch 11.10pm Harry Potter, watched The Chronicles of Narnia instead and bought 11am Harry Potter ticket for the next day. However, we woke up at 11am and missed the show. Grr...
Saturday night, had dinner with parents-in-law. This time with mummy, abg, mak, abah and pak cik yaa. huih, family union plaks. :p Hubby & I were quite worried the dinner would be weird. Alhamdullilah, everything went well.

I'm not in the pic coz i was the photographer. heh. This is me, taken by hubby using my nokia 7260.
Then, I stole hubby to try catch a Harry Potter show again. There's a show at 11.15pm. However, when we arrived @ mid-valley, tickets for the show were sold out. I was so damn disappointed, refused to watch any other movie, sulked all the way home. hehe. Poor hubby had to pujuk me... lucky he was there though. If not, I might actually cry. hahah

Home Sweet Home
After 10 weeks of school, it feels great to be back. To the comfort of home, to the loved ones, to the warmth of Malaysia (although too warm at times)... This is Home. Greeted at the airport by my beloved bf, with roses in his hand for me. =D (Heh. Really excited when I saw that.) Thanx to my mum, who sacrificed and let Hazmi picked me up instead. It meant a lot to me.
Well, that's not much to tell yet. Have been jet-lagging for 2 days already... this is my 3rd night. Hmm, don't remember having trouble sleeping b4. Whatever... Like I never stayed up late and go to sleep only when the sun's rising.

Receiving-the-belt celebration
After the incident, we are more motivated to go for Jitsu training. We must be able to protect ourselves if we ever got attacked one day. (Hopefully never) Anyway, most of us are now yellow belt jitsukas, received the belt officially last Wednesday. After training (which is harder now, gosh), we went for a drink to celebrate (receiving belt ceremony). Apparently, you have to drink alcohol with the same colour as the belt you receive in Jitsu (non-alcoholic for me and mimi). This is the picture of us, with Sensei Alex, who didn't want to be in the picture but got snapped anyway.
Unlucky incident
On Wednesday, while waiting to go to Japanese class, Aida suddenly called me. She was crying, telling us her things got stolen and asked us to come back immediately. Mimi & I were worried so we rushed back home. She was not at home when we arrived which made us panicked for awhile. Lucky we managed to call her and she was on the way home with Basyar, Lomon and Amir. Here's the whole story:
When Aida was walking home alone, one black guy followed her to the front door asking for a plastic bag, showing all his stuff he was holding. Being the kind Aida, she asked the man to wait outside, closed the door and went to take the plastic bag. When she opened the door to give the plastic bag, the man asked, "Can I come inside?". "No. Why?", Aida replied. Out of a sudden, he threw all his things on the floor, blocking Aida from closing the door. Desperate not to be trapped, Aida pushed her way out of the house. The guy took the opportunity to went inside and stole anything that he could find in the living room. Realising Aida was outside, he went to the door and asked Aida to come in, which again, Aida refused. Lucky her, there was a neighbour nearby so she said, I'm going to call the neighbour and was halfway walking to him. Panicked, the mugger quickly said, "Ok. Ok. I'm leaving." However, he managed to stole Aida's purse and PDA, Dina & Rye's PS2 and XDA.
Aida went in the house, called HSBC to cancel all her cards until she realised she couldn't find her keys. Scared that the guy might come back, she ran out of the house to the nearest shop to our house, not wanting to go to the same direction as the guy. Then she called her housemates and the guys, who came immediately. (Thanx u guys) When everyone's at home, we went to make a police report.
The good thing is no one's hurt. Only some valuable things are stolen. But Aida's safe. Don't worry Aida. We are proud of you that you quickly ran away and saved yourself rather than trying to be brave and "protect the house". We can buy the gadgets but we can't buy your safety. Alhamdulillah, everyone's safe.

Yellow Belt Jitsu
Prior to the grading, I was so scared that I had a minor breakdown. As usual, I let it out by crying. Siewch found me on her way to econs and comforted me. Went to class with red eyes. I dunno why I was so stressed out. I guess last week's experience of not-be-able-to-breathe and nearly-break-a-rib because I can't break fall properly when someone kicked me down really bugged me. And we had this perception of grading would be more horrible than the pre-grading (which is horrible enough) And my lack of practice, my not-so-neat techniques, my forgetfulness especially when I'm under pressure and ...~
The night b4 grading, we went to MC's Malam Bakti. The play was good and entertaining. Went back immediately after Drog blowed her candles. Dina and Aida helped Mimi & I do some last minute practice on the techniques. Then, we went to sleep. (Supposedly, but I called my bf and get into a fight with him. Sorry honey. Blame the pressure. heh)
The grading was held in London South Bank Uni Sports Hall, Elephant and Castle. All of us arrived early. Yan gave each of us a Mars bar. I think it was his birthday that day. Pity huh, grading on birthday. But the Mars bar must be a good luck charm. After 3 hours of running around, punching, doing arm & wrist locks, forward, side, backwards rolls (which made me really dizzy), showing dangerous parts on the head, body and back and a few others, all of us passed the grading (I mean, from LSE). Some earn extra points than others. Mimi was the only one from our team passed with Yellow2. Hehe. Good job Mimi. I know u can do it WELL so I'm not actually surprised. Even our sensei have faith in you. Anyway, I graded with Yellow1 which is good enough considering all body parts intact and no broken bones. =D

2 more weeks to go...
Another week has past. The new stupid locker combination-lock got stuck. Spent another 40 minutes to be able to open that one. Changed it to key-lock at last. Better not stuck this time. Won't be able to try all keys to open it like what we did to the combination lock when we tried all number combinations from 0-0-0 to any combination that can undo the lock. Confusing? Forget it.
Went to Jitsu's pre-grading yesterday. Was kinda scary. Got thrown by a guy and nearly broke my rib. Lucky I'm still in one piece today (so Mummy & Syg, don't worry kay. If the pain worsen, I'll call u guys straight away). However, my whole body's aching. Can't move around easily. Managed to cut the grass in the backyard though, with Aida's help. hehe. Quite a big achievement since we've been putting it aside for weeksssss. Never realised we have quite a spacious backyard. =p
Owh, Shepard's Bush residence has finally made it to Manor House yesterday. After a quick lunch, Azz watched Greg's Anatomy while DRog, Yat and Lion played the dance mat. Dina coached them like a real instructor. Hey, u guys were really good, fast-learners. :) It's really addictive, right. hehe. I think DRog can't get enough of it. I fell asleep in Mimi's room for awhile and when I woke up, they were still playing... or I should say dancing.
Cold day is making me hungry ALL the time. Help me! I can't stop eating. Need to stop typing and find more food~

3rd Syawal Weekend
Time flies, huh. It is already the 3rd weekend in Syawal. Whoever haven't started their 6 days Syawal fast better hurry. You still have time. Yesterday, Dina, Aida and I went to Aimi & Ufah's open house. Oh my. They cooked a LOT. Nasi lemak, Laksa asam, Laksa Kelantan, Roti jala, Lompat tikam, triffle... Lucky we didn't eat breakfast before that. Obviously we ate so much until we felt like bursting. hehe. But thanx guys. The food was really delicious.
We left quite early coz Dina wanted to go to Primark. Initially, I didn't plan to buy anything in particular, just wanted to look around. However, I came back with a bag full of clothes and other stuff. I actually passed a bundle of socks that me & Aida were sharing to her to "reduce" my total expenditure in one receipt. =p Crazy. It makes no difference. I know. Haha.
On Sunday, the whole house except Mimi, who was tired from her travelling to Sheffield the day b4, woke up early and did some house chores. I was trying to cut the grass in our backyard when I heard Dina fell down the stairs. I thought it wasn't that serious. Turned out she can't feel her legs. There was an emergency state in our house for awhile but luckily she got better.
Mimi & I later went to another jitsu weekend training for novices at ULU Gym. Lucky us this time we didn't come back with bruises. We went for a drink after that. This time juices, not coke. Looks like going to be a trend. Hmmph. Ah well. Weekend's over. Another week to go.

Went to pub for the 1st time
Yesterday, for the 1st time I went to Jistu alone. Mimi was busy working on her essay so she decided to skip jitsu for that night. But I surely need LOTS of practice if I am really going for the grading this December so I went anyway. Technically, I was not alone. I managed to persuade Andrew to come along (but he was kinda mean during training. heh. just kidding)
After the training session, as usual, our sensei invited us for a drink in a nearby pub. Usually, I'd be reluctant to go. Being in a pub would make me feel really uncomfortable. I dunno what's with me that night but I decided to give it a shot. So I went along. Of course, I dragged Andrew along. Going alone would be especially scary for me, a 1st timer going to a pub. We didn't stay that long, only about half an hour maybe so on the way home, I didn't tell my housemates that I was going to be late. I thought they wouldn't worry about me coz I didn't get any phone call or text from them yet. However, when I was walking back home alone, I called Aida coz the place was really quiet. Only then I got to know how worried my housemates were. When I got home, I got a looong speech on how important it is to tell them before hand if I'm going to be late. Hehe. I was a little bit surprised to receive such a long warning BUT I AM REALLY TOUCHED to know that they do care for me. Wonderful housemates I have, huh ;)

Open house
hello peeps. Thanx to u guys who came for our open house last Sunday. For those who couldn't make it, it's alright. We understand (whatever the reason was. heh =p) Those who came really made it a success. (Thank them) At first, I was kinda worried that ppl won't be able to come at all and our home-cooked food would have to go to waste. Then, around 1.30pm, my ex-flatmate arrived. After that, ppl started to show up batch-by-batch. Whew! These are some of the pictures. Sorry if your face aren't in any of them. I picked them up randomly. But u know who u r =D
Food: Aida cooked laksa lemak (family recipe), Dina made the Kuah Kacang, I fried the Kuey teow and Mimi did the dessert (cake & triffle), all from scratch. Well, I was actually monitored while doing the cooking so no worries. I'm sure no one had stomach ache from eating the Kuey teow, hmm I guess it was alright. We also gave a short tour around the house to our guests. Sha actually went to each and every room to take pictures with "special things" in there with her partner in crime, Natte. That's a picture in my room, with my Disney snowglobes and a potret of me & Hazmi.
Natte, Yas, Sha, Mikel, Mad and Apu stayed longer. We had LOTS of fun "exercising". hehe. Watching the guys being sporting and tried out was even more exciting. Haha. I really appreciate your presence ppl. Do come again eh.
