02022014 - Escape Room round 2

This weekend is a long weekend due to Chinese New Year holiday and Federal Territory day. So we are off Friday to Monday. We spent our Friday cleaning up the house and went shopping for the new arrival on Saturday.
On Sunday, my friends and I made a date for our second (first for most of them) trip to the Escape Room at E@curve. There were 7 of us and we went to Prison Break room this time and surprise, surprise... We managed to escape in 36 minutes!!! Woohoo. See. I told you. Headcount is important and teamwork gave us success. There was me, Hudam and Cyan as the recurring contestants and Asserk, Aizat, Lisak and Shasha Id as first timers. Asserk broke the 1st clue. Hudam unlock us out our hand-cuffed. Was supposed to break a clue on a box and then a pouch. But Shasha managed to unlock the pouch without solving any clue. Cheating a bit there but what the heck. We didn't break anything. What comes next was a bit tougher. A physical challenge, which Lisak successfully completed for us. I unlocked the 4th padlock, giving us access to the next clue, which the team solved together to unlock the next one. And the final one, was again a team effort. Don't think we would have made it with fewer headcount. *I hope this doesn't qualify as a spoiler*. Sorry orn. I knew you would love to join but Sunday is the day with the most people so we had to go with the majority. A few people asked whether it was fun. It definitely WAS. Of course, you have to go with great company but the game was what made it fun, right?

Since we were all so very happy after the win, we went to celebrate at DipNDip. I didn't know they have a branch there. Luckily someone pointed it out.
Fettucini crepe. The only dish I managed to capture a picture of.
While I was away with friends, mom and brother helped to look after Tricia who was having a blast at Yukids Island. She was there since 2pm until I went to pick her up at 4.30pm. Guess that was quite convenient eh?

My husband's story was kinda funny. He thought he was supposed to attend a kenduri that day, which was why I picked Sunday to spend time with my friends. He woke up late, left the house, then only realized the kenduri was the day before. So he drove to KL and joined us in The Curve. After that, had a drink at Bubba Gump Shrimp before sending mom and bro back home. A happy day indeed.

Tired but fulfilling weekend of BWM, BBW and EscapeRoom

Hello peeps. First day back at work after a 3-day weekend and I'm feeling extremely tired today. Took Monday off to rest and re-energised but it was exactly the opposite of what really happened.
Friday night
Hubby and brothers went for badminton session from 12-3am. I was SO sleepy already so I told hubby I'll just wait for him at home in Nilai. But when my little girl, who is nocturnal, looked at me and said let's go... I relented. After all, no work on Satuday. So I went and kept chasing her around until 1.30am or so when finally I couldn't take it anymore and fell asleep on the chair... in a sitting position. Went back home with Kak Azah around 2am and this happened:
Qys: Mummy, kenapa perut auntie Farah gemuk?
Kak Azah: Sebab auntie Farah mengandung.
Qys: Owh, auntie Farah makan byk sgt sebab tu laa mengandung.
Adesss... I ate too much and that's how I got pregnant. But what I LOVE about this conversation the most is the innocence in that statement. Kids are way TOO advanced nowadays... with rape/sexual assault commited by children as young as 7 years old, it is just worrying. So it is extremely nice to hear such an innocent statement like that coming from a kid.
Saturday
Woke up "early" around 9.30 or so to pick up our new baby. Arrived at the centre around 12 but only managed to leave the place around 1.30pm. That was only after I stormed out the office because we had been waiting way too long than I could tolerate. We already called one day earlier to say we were going to pay via credit card and when we arrived that day, they told us the machine broke down. Only when I stormed out he suggested to pay at another branch's office. Pfffttt. They love to test the patience of a pregnant woman, huh?
From Puchong to Cyberjaya to Nilai to Bangi to Setapak to Ampang to Setapak to Bangi to Nilai. Cost us RM90 petrol. Is that expensive? I can't tell... Went to Tamarind Springs in Ampang that night to have dinner with mummy and abang. It was a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL place but 4 plates of rice, 4 king prawns, 2 bowls of tomyam and 1 plate of fish cost us RM400! Damn expensive T_T. Went back to Nilai and had durian fiesta before calling it a night.
Sunday
No plan on Sunday. We just wanted to sleep in. Was supposed to call someone to clean the house but the woman didn't call back. Anyway, I asked my friend Uda to go to the Big Bad Wolf expo with me and we managed to arrive there at 8am. Here's my catch for the day. 15 books for RM111.15 after 5% discount with OCBC card.
Was a lazy day the rest of the day where we hang out in Nilai to pass the time and spend time with family.
Monday
Woke up in Nilai because we were going to Seremban to take Tricia's 2-year-old jab. It was for Hep A, first dose and an optional one. Had breakfast first cooked by my lovely MIL. Got no 15 and had to wait for 1 1/2 hours. Then, I rushed back and picked up Irna for our date with Cyan and Hudam for our escaperoom session. I called to ask which room was suitable for pregnant woman, and the guy who answered suggested we tried Mummy or Prison room. Since mummy's difficulty was lower than prison, we chose that one for this round. It was our first time and the experience was awesome although we didn't manage to crack the code for the last puzzle on time. We were given 45 minutes and we could ask for clue two times within the time limit, which we did use. Would definitely go again to try other rooms. More info at escaperoom Before I went, I was looking for cheatsheet or spoilers online. Lucky I couldn't find any as it will definitely kill the fun! So yeah, I am not going to be the fun buster and post any spoiler.
After that, we went back to Cyan's place in Damansara Damai for our cake and cupcake session. Went back, picked up Tricia and did a bit of cleaning that I could manage and woke up today feeling extremely tired. But all-in-all, I had a fulfilling weekend.

June 2012

Hello, peeps. June is here already, which means I am one year older.
Happy 2x Birthday to me. Hihi.

What update do I have for you? Hmm... let's see:
1) exam - CFA this year was the most straight-forward I have ever sat for but unfortunately I didn't finish covering the whole syallabus so expect to revisit the paper AGAIN next year.
2) money - signed S&P for our 2nd property purchase like finallyyy... With the tightening policy of new loan by BNM, it was SO difficult to get a loan given that I am so highly leveraged. In the end, took up my staff loan, which I had initially saved for the purchase of our dream home later.
3) Batrisyia - she crossed her 7th month last Sunday and is now starting to push her tushie up - the beginning of her crawling phase
pic taken at Abby's wedding
4) Games - Hubby and I were sooo addicted to this game Empire Defense 2 on his tab but unfortunately, after working our ass off to level up, collect crystal and upgrade our soldiers and equipment, the game decided to reset on us, Not Once but TWICE! We basically have to start all over again... Are you mad??? Do you know how many hours we had clocked in for that. That's it! -uninstalled-

PKO - Bye bye MyrMidonS

As exam's getting nearer, everyone's getting busier including Hazmi and me. The constant demand from managing a guild in PKO has made Hazmi gave up his position as a guild leader. He handed over the honor to AkechiSamanosuke, a very active and trusted member from our previous guild. Hence, now we have a new guild called Prophecy. A mixed of new and old members, with a new name, searching for a new adventure. But the memories in MyrMidonS will be always remembered. ^^On a different topic, this is us, (back when we were still in MyrMidonS), in our "normal" wear. Recently, Hazmi bought us a new pair of apparel each. I like my new one but it's a bit "sexier" (since "my" belly button is now visible) and it makes me looks thinner and smaller (than I already am). Hazmi's one looks very... hmm... different. Not the knight in the shining armour look anymore. But very colourful. Hehe. Interesting =)

Feeling much better =)

After a few days of sadness, I am glad to say I am back to normal. Continuing the story from the previous entry, the result is as what as ALL of us might have expected. No need to elaborate on that. When I was walking home, I admitted that I was feeling a bit low to discover that ppl can easily uses Allah's name in order to scam ppl. Well, I am a bit frustrated about being "scam" AGAIN but I am more frustrated that ppl are making fun of my religion that easily. I hope he burnt in hell for that... and yes, he owed me in the after life... I'll claim it then. Walking back after class, I did say... I want mummy. But what can I do... she's so far away. So I got back home and was comforted by Naruto 3rd episode instead. Surprisingly, I felt better already after that.
At 5 something Malaysian time, I suddenly got a call from mummy. Was a bit surprised coz she usually waited for my call rather than calling me herself. Then she kept on asking whether I was ok. Forgetten everything that I said or felt, I said I was fine. After awhile, I remembered and admitted that I WAS feeling low but I'm much better now. Refused to talk about it. Mummy, being a mom, was very worried and insisted I tell her the story. In the end, I gave in and told her part of the story. After hearing it, instead of saying how stupid I was, she said, it's ok. "If you need money, I can send it to you..." Then, she rephrased. "Can I send you some money?" Haha, how sweet but I rejected the offer because I am still ok. Plus I know she is kinda tight on money too. But the thought is very very sweet.
Then at 6 something, my bf called me. I was complaining that this past few days he's been ignoring me. He's always too busy with his responsibility in pko. Well, I know he is now the guild leader but he has been this very responsible guild leader, taking care of everyone that makes me feel neglected. He barely has time for us anymore. Well actually, he still talks to me everyday but all we talk about is pko, a few bits and pieces of the day's happenings and let's go to sleep. Huwaa, I want a conversation with my bf. Back to the real story, Hazmi requested to use the webcam and we talk for awhile before both of us went to sleep. I am very very touched that he still take my complains seriously and make an effort to spend time with me. As for me, I complain a lot, don't I? A bit spoilt there, I admit. Well, I am blessed to have such wonderful family and friends around me. To hell the scammers out there. Can't wait for Hazmi & Mummy to be here. Love you two so much...

I need a break

Initially, I don't really feel like going to Warwick for the MNight. Tired from my lack of sleep, essay and assignment to be submitted, a lot of catching up to do and mainly, PKO-ing made me feel like I'd rather stay home. Coming to think about it now, I actually need this break... I need a break from this routine I'm starting to adopt. I can't continue on like this. Though I have very sweet housemates reminding me of work and studies, I do need to realise this on my own. Mainly, it's for my own good. Even if they tie me to my chair to study, it's meaningless if my mind is elsewhere. I'm not saying I'm going to stop. It is something I enjoy but it just shouldn't be something that's adding stress to my life. I want it to be a place I spend my time with my beloved Hazmi, not a source of argument. Hence, I should learn to take it slow and balance my life better. I want to do well in my studies and secure a good job. Looking forward to go to Warwick. =) Hope it will do me some good...
