Kak Ina & Abg Nadzry's Wedding

I came over just to see if there's anything I can help with, apparently none. Had Grilled Salmon Steak for dinner at Restoran As-Salam near their house where suddenly Hazmi's lil sis Abby, her bf Daus, their cousin Dilla, her bf Abg Salleh, and another cousin Nadia joined us. Was a very kecoh dinner which ended with Hazmi paying the bill. haha. We couldn't decide where to sleep that night: Nilai or KL. Mcm dah kawin laa plak kan, umah sendiri ke umah mentua. :p Kak Ina & Nadia tried to persuade me to stay but when Abby & Dilla wanted to sleep at Allson Kelana with their relatives, we went back to KL. Hence, we did not join the family's karaoke night as it was already late.
18 June 2006: Kenduri of the Bride's side & The Bride's 23rd Birthday
The Kenduri was scheduled to start at 12pm. Having arrived @12.10pm, Hazmi & I were a little bit late. Not because we overslept but we had to go to Mambau, KLIA and to Bangi before we could go back to Nilai. So actually we were on time. It's just that I signed up to give bunga telur that day so I had to rush. Had a chance to meet more ppl including Kak Azah (Abg Mi's wife-to-be), Hanisah Salehin (my 1-year TKC junior, apparently daughter to Hazmi's Mum's close friend) and of course, more relatives. The bride & groom arrived at 1pm, accompanied by the groom's family. PDRM's kompang team played the kompang to welcome them. Bersanding right away and the merenjis ceremony was carried out soon after. The bride & groom looked stunning in their pink and green suits. Proceeded outside for Makan Beradat. The Bride cut a pulut kuning "cake" for her birthday, followed by the newly-weds cutting their lovely white wedding cake. Then, it was photography session before the couple went to meet and greet the guests. Their pelamin was beautifully decorated in cream colour with fresh roses of red and pink. The bride's make up artist is Nurul Shukur, Siti Nurhaliza's favourite make up artist. The food was delicious; ayam masak merah, daging rendang etc. In conclusion, the wedding ceremony was a REAL success.
Girls Day Out
We performed our Zohor prayers before we went back home. Hudam went out with her bf, Haris, who would send her to Istana Budaya straight away. That left the 3 of us at home. Waited for maghrib and started dressing up for the play. We were supposed to be there 10 minutes before it started, which is at 8.20pm. But we only got out of the house at 8pm. Haslin, who was already waiting at Istana Budaya, was restless. Hehe. Lucky us, Hazmi came to our rescue and arrived just in time to pick us up. We made it on time... actually 5 minutes early @8.15pm. Thank you, my white knight... my knight in shining armour... hehe =p
Lucky us Hazmi drove his Kia instead of Satria that night as we packed all 6 into the car. Had our supper at NZ before Hazmi dropped us off at home. Hudam slept the earliest, Ima offered to sleep on the floor, Zanna, Lin & I slept around 4.30am... talking, catching up, gossiping. Well, in short, Girls Night In. The next day, Hudam went to have lunch with her bf and the rest of us had our lunch near my house. Zanna wanted to buy some tudung so we went to Pasar Besar Gombak. Met Hudam at KLCC, bought a gift for Mash baby and off we went to Kelana Jaya. Just before we arrived that we noticed that we could not all fit into a cab (legally). So Lin called her sister Kak Lina to pick us up but little that she know that there was 5 of us so she brought a friend along. Hence, this time, we had to pack 5 of us at the back of a Proton Aeroback. huii... (Imagine that. Lin dah sgt sakit pinggang & Kesian also Kak Lina, dah laa last minute call, had a drive a very packed car somemore.) But the trip was worth it. Mash's baby, Hazeeq is a real cutie. Poor little baby was hiccup-ing all the time. All of us had our chance to hold the baby but I don't think it was a success for me =p.
Well, I really miss my TKC days, especially my friends. Am really glad we still find some time to hang out, have fun & does crazy stuff together. Hope we can do this again and have others to join us as well. (but if so, we definitely need a bigger place to stay and more transport =p although that would take away some of the fun, menyempit atas katil & dalam kereta) Thanx to Zanna who initiated this outing. Hope you guys enjoy your stay and please come again ;)

- Bread and butter for him
- Garlic bread for us
- Shark fin & crab soup for me
- Butterfried Garlic Big Prawn "mermaid style" for me
- Sirloin Steak for him

Was that all, honey? I thought our table was full? And we were seated at a table for four. haha. But our stomach were full, alright. I couldn't even finish my food [coz the restaurant was closing already] After that, we went for a drink, somewhere near KL Tower (don't even know the name of the place). Seated by the pool (apparently for scuba training), we had a looong romantic talk. Ngehehe. Trust my bf for a romantic setting ;) I had a cup of cappucino and he had a cup of tea there. After that, we went home. Watched Nanny McPhee from my laptop together before we bid our goodbyes for the night. Waited hubby to reach home and talked to him on the phone till we both fell asleep. All in all, it's a wonderful day.
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone again for all your wishes, which came in through all means of communications. Still coming in actually. Phone calls, sms, friendster's testimonials, msn msgr, yahoo msgr, blog comments, blog entry from hanijoe (sgt2 sweet), hallmark e-card from Dina and multiply from K Own. I can't thank you enough and can't name u all one by one but u know who u are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! =) Alright, gtg now. Have to get ready for a celebration at Mak's house. Jaa ;)

Birthday Outing
Anyway, after lunch, we went bday present hunting. Initially for Nadia alone,
then Linda asked what I want, then I asked what she wants. So we decided to spend RM10 each on the other 2. We went bday present hunting the whole afternoon. After a few hours of walking, searching & deciding, Linda bought an earrings. To finish the RM20, she bought a Cleo magazine. Nadia bought herself a bracelet and both me & Linda looked at her curiously. WE were supposed to pay that for her... why did she pay that herself. Apparently, she buys herself a birthday present every year... she will search for something else from us. Hmm, ok but good idea. I want to buy myself presents too. As for my present from them, at first, I wanted a long purse to fit into my new handbag from Hazmi. That is, if I can't find something else that interests me. But when we stopped at Memory Lane, I saw a lovely yellow butterfly wind-chime and I immediately screamed, "I want this!!!". Hehe. Nadia quickly grabbed that thing and pay for it. I got another small blue-dolphine windchime with the balance. So that leaves Nadia. We went back upstairs to Teddy Tales and bought Nadia a purse. I also bought myself the long purse I wanted, that's my bday present for me. hehe.
Nadia wanted to search for something with her RM2 balance. We performed our Asar prayers, ate Auntie Anne's bread coz I was hungry again, bought myself another pack of bun from Roti Boy (pre period hunger), performed our maghrib prayers and on the way back, stopped at Chamelon. Nadia bought a chopstick and hair clips with the balance. I was searching for a looong necklace that would be visible even when I'm wearing tudung... couldn't find it at all the whole afternoon But there it was... so another bday present for myself. Haha. Over!I had a blast time with them that day. Really! I had FUN shopping. That's something not quite normal for me. Thanx for the great time together, ol' pals. =)
I'm back home!

2 more days to go home & Bday Wish List
- Sudoku machine (sort-of the play-as-you-go thingy) - Hanijoe bought this for me already =). Thanxxx
- A magic 8 ball
- A lava lamp
- An extended wind-chime... like the long ones in Covent Garden
- Or just a suncatcher
- The silky-like bead-filled-pillow
- Or if you dun like all this ideas, a book, chic lit, maybe. not heavy reading unless fantasy or sci-fi
- Jewelleries? Hmm, I like white gold at the moment so silver bracelet or necklace.
Hahaha, cam beria plak list. Mahal plak tu kan. But no worries. I am actually fulfilling my own wish by doing this. A wish list so that ppl know what's on my mind. But of course you can still buy anything else if you want or not buy at all. I don't mind... Time to sleep. Good night!

Nickelback - Far Away
Song : Far Away
This time, This place
Misused, Mistakes
Too long, Too late
Who was I to make you wait
Just one chance
Just one breath
Just in case there's just one left
'Cause you know, you know, you know
[CHORUS]
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming
You'll be with me and you'll never go
Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore
On my knees, I'll ask
Last chance for one last dance
'Cause with you, I'd withstand
All of hell to hold your hand
I'd give it all, I'd give for us
Give anything but I won't give up
'Cause you know, you know, you know
[CHORUS]
So far away
Been far away for far too long
So far away
Been far away for far too long
But you know, you know, you know
I wanted
I wanted you to stay
'Cause I needed
I need to hear you say
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I forgive you
For being away for far too long
So keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Haven't been studying this hard since SPM. Hope the hard work pays. Sometimes I think I am on track, but when I take a look at something, it'll be like "shoot, there's a LOT more I haven't read". It's a loop thing... keeps going on and on like that. Like the feeling of 'urgh-exam-is-very-near-feeling' and 'Yea!-I'm-going-back-this-month'. The good thing about this loop feeling is that it's keeping me in balance and sane.

Alton Towers at last

After hundreds of times postponing the trip, we made it to Alton Towers at last. Thursday morning, we (Yat, Lion, Arfah & I) boarded the virgin train to Stoke-On-Trent for awhole day fun in Alton Towers. We were supposed to arrive in Alton Towers at 10.40am but due to the bus delay, we arrived
quite some time after 11. Well, to maximize our now-even-shorter time, we didn't waste any time and headed straight away for our 1st ride: the congo river rapids. This ride is classified as one of the the absolutely splashing rides and we did get wet a little. Not much. But since it was a cold day (and I'm saying this as the person who wore the thickest jacket) we decided not to go on any more absolutely splashing rides. So we went "hunting" for the "adrenalin-busters" rides only. The 2nd ride: Runaway Mine Train was quite ok but the next ride one was really interesting. It's the Nemesis. The concept is kinda like any other roller coster except
that the seats are not enclosed... i mean, there's no platform to put your feet on... so u could see what's under you. There was even a lake of red water as u could see in the picture. This "waterfall" leads to the very big-red-lake. U definitely do not want your shoes to fall into that or else u'll get a free dye and never get it back. :p Here's a picture of Nemesis for your viewing. hehe. Then, we went onto Air, a Superman-ride-like roller coaster, before we proceded to Ug Land. In Ug Land, we queued for Rita, the Queen of Speed. At the board, it said the waiting time was 40 minutes. But we waited waaaayyyy wayyyyy longer than that.
Why? While we were queueing, there was a technical problem with this "Miss Rita". Since we had been queueing for more than half an hour already, might as well continue waiting. Thanx to the technical team, the problem was fixed at last so the queue continued moving. When we were in the queue, I kept asking why Rita gets the 1st place in the rides-rank. It definitely looks like a normal roller coaster to me. Maybe I hadn't been on it yet to judge it so Lion suggested I should try re-evaluate it after we've been on the ride. When we
were all buckled up, Yat and I were wondering where should we hold on to. The green light suddenly flashed on and swwooooshh, we went. Omigod. We were really taken off-guard. 100km/s in 2 seconds... that was amazing man. And the 'control-tower' referred to us, the passengers, as drivers. haha. Coollll, so that's what F1 drivers feel when driving. That was really2 cooll and Rita does deserve the 1st place after all ;) After that, we went on Corkscrew,
which we queued for less than 10 minutes, unlike the more than an hour queue (plus repairing waiting time) for Rita. By then, I was really hungry and cold and tired. But we had to hold on 1st for we cannot eat b4 our most-awaited ride, the Oblivion. Honestly, I was a bit afraid looking at it from below. Before we came here, I made a promise to Yat to seat in the front row. When Yat almost backed out from that promise, I wanted to backed out too. But then Arfah convinced us to take the front row again and we agreed. However, it is just not our luck to seat in the front row coz when we queued, we were placed in the 2nd row. Which I think doesn't make that much difference when I was on the ride coz
I was more afraid to fall than thinking whether i'm in the front seat or not. But the ride went so fast, that I was like... "what? that's it? Laa, it was alrite then." WE SURVIVED OBLIVION. Haha. We had our long-overdue lunch right after that. Found a fish-and-chips shop around and just sat there enjoying the food and the warm atmosphere. We could try to go on 1 last ride before they're all closed but we were all too tired to make any attempt. It was a really fun though... Thanx a lot, u guys. Loving the adrenalin rush moments. =DWednesday, April 05, 2006
