Happy Eid Mubarak!

The fasting month is coming to an end. Although it is kinda sad to say goodbye to this special month, I can't help myself from feeling super happy to welcome the eid day. This past few days, I was sooo in the celebration mood. Hehe. I went, ehem, shopping *cough*. It started with finding a pair of new shoes to match my new baju raya Hazmi just bought for me. ;) (I so can't wait to receive it from Daud who'll be arriving a few days after raya) Then, Aida & I went to New Look where I got myself a shirt and a slack. The next day, the whole house went shopping. I bought another pair of shoes, this time a black one, you know, for formal event; presentation, interview etc. In addition, I got 3 pieces of top. The funny thing is, when I was deciding on which colour to buy, Dina & Aida reminded me that I already bought a white knit wear just a few weeks ago and I can't remember at all until I was on the way home. Well, I guess it is a sign of too much shopping when you can't remember what you already bought. I should stop. I should stop. Erm, after I got myself a nice necklace, that is. :p hehe. Anyway, Happy Eid Mubarak to all my blog readers. =D May all of us celebrate this beautiful day with the true meaning of Eid.

Game Theory

The first monday lecture marked the start of the new academic session. It was AC 330 Financial Acctg & Analysis. I'm officially a 3rd & final year student now. Well, it is already in the middle of the week so I better get my head used to all this again. My choices of subjects for this year, apart from the AC330, I have AC340 an auditing paper, AC300 a finance paper and... MA300 Game Theory. You probably have heard this theory before through economics but it still sounds weird to me. I mean I actually get to LEARN to PLAY games correctly. I get to take it as one of my degree subjects. How cool is that??? ;) I love games... technical ones, not the warcraft ones. Hmm, but chess is kinda like a warcraft game, isn't it? Erm, but you get what I mean, right? Or not? Whatever. That's another thing. I'm supposed to be retired from chess but recent pressures had made me thinking again so I decided to try start all over with that. Mimi actually bought me a CD of Chessmaster 10th Edition as my bday present =) (Thanx Mimi) so I better start cracking soon. Putting chess aside, I think I'm gonna enjoy this subject coz it shows you how to play several different games technically BUT I think it's gonna be difficult coz it's taught using mathematical notations. And my maths... sigh, lets just say I need a LOT of brushing up to do. Well, pray for the best!

Back in London

Sigh. 4 months has passed in 'a blink of an eye'. I'm back in London, back to school. For this new academic year, of course my resolution is to study hard, even harder than last year, I hope. This would be my final year here so have to really make my stay here worthwhile. Hazmi has been doing pretty well too in Malaysia. Attending lectures & tutorials, doing coursework & presentations, worrying about carrying marks, exam syllabus & formats. And as always, I am proud of u, my dear... even prouder with ur progress now. ;) Well, after 4 months of being away, I sure need some adjusting back here. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it very soon. But what do I miss the most in Malaysia?
  • Firstly, of course My Hazmi, Mummy & Abg... relatives & friends
  • Next, the sunlight... Owh, sunshine. I sure miss u so much although I don't think I'll miss the heat just yet
  • Food... hmm, the selection of food. Well, the amount too. hehe. (Shouldn't put that much emphasis on that huh)
  • Shopping? Really? Hmm, dont think so
  • Rain? Noooooo. We have plenty here
  • What else? Driving. Yesss, coz I don't drive here. Not that I drive much at home but at least I still could once in awhile (Actually bcoz I don't drive that much at home, I miss it. If driving is what I do everyday, I don't think I'll miss it at all. Traffic congestion is baaddd in KL)

Hmm, is that all? I guess that are the major ones. Others are just petty2 things like i miss my room, my shoes which i left at home, my handbag... etc. (Is this ME typing?) The cats... I don't think so. hehe. Peace cats... ok laa... I miss u guys, too. Haha. Adolf, stay away from my man. (I hope he knows I'm joking I'm jealous of his cat... or am I? Hmm, something I should spend time thinking about. =P ) Alrite dude. Latersss

Happy 4th Anniversary

17th September 2006

4 years... it may seem short but we've been through a lot together within this period. Good times and bad times, ups and downs and this 4 wonderful months vacation has added more memories to our love diary. We celebrated our anniversary in a very romantic setting, a dinner for two in KL Tower. Overlooking the well-lit city, with slow music in the background, I could not imagine a better way of celebrating it. We treat ourselves with food from the buffet before went back home and watched Prime together.

After that, we had a talk, reflecting our relationship so far. A talk i'm glad we had. It's a great feeling to know after all this year, my love for him will never fade. Come what may, i'll always love him, forever, with all my heart. And to know he would still hold my hands through the good & the hard times. And he would never give up on me. I definitely treasure our relationship and I wanna cherish u for the rest of my life, sweetheart. Love u, darling.

A trip to Jeli - Part 2

Sunday 3rd Sept 2006
We woke up early, ready to explore KB. Hazmi needed more of his beauty sleep so stayed behind alone. All of us had our breakfast at the "White House", a place visited by the "Jalan2 Cari Makan" show, famous for the toasted self-made-bread, nasi dagang and others. Then, we headed to Pengkalan Kubor. It's shopping time.

After that, we went back to KB, packed our things and started our journey back. Hungry stomachs must be filled first so our first stop was the Gulai Kawah place. We even got to try air nira. Being the town kids we are, uncle & auntie had to explain to us what air nira is. Owh, now we know. Hehe.

Next stop was the keropok lekor center, where we shopped and ate a lot of them. When the sun was setting down, we stopped for prayer at the floating mosque. My, it's beautiful.
We continued our journey heading south until we reached Seafood Restaurant Pak Su.

After dinner, all of us was definitely full. Though we may be tired, we had to make one last stop before going straight home... Their hometown, their village. That would be the 1st time for me & abg nad. It was great, to get a feel of their childhood memories, where they played, ran and fell. The place where they learned to grow up. ~ We reached nilai at 5 a.m. & i went straight to bed.

I am touched to be given this opportunity to know them better and to be accepted as who i am. This is a great family indeed. I am thankful to get to know u guys. Thank you! =)
And Selamat Bertunang to Abg Mi & Kak Azah. Wishing both of u happiness in ur lives.

A trip to Jeli-Part 1

Friday 1st Sept 2006
This was a trip I'd been looking forward to... A trip to Hazmi's bro: Abg Mi's engagement to Kak Azah, which took place in Jeli, Kelantan. Why was I so excited about it? I got to follow their family trip all the way there... hehe. (Does that need an explanation?) AnYway, we started our journey around 9.30a.m. Uncle led the trip in his BMW, followed by Uncle Seli's Naza Chitra and us in Naza Ria. The journey took about 8 hours, with a stop for lunch near Grik. In Jeli, we stayed in 2 big bungalows. Nice place. Made of wood, cool and breezy. Upon arriving, the guys & girls were fighting of who gets the air-cond room but then, we just slept in the living room so there was no point fighting in the 1st place. It was freezing cold.

Saturday 2nd Sept 2006
Early morning, everyone else wanted to go sightseeing. Hazmi was tired from the journey and refused to follow. I, as always, don't have that much interest in shopping but can't just stayed behind with him alone. Lucky Kak Ina & Abg Nad offered to stay behind as well. So the 4 of us plus Abg Mi just went for breakfast nearby. In the afternoon, after everyone was ready looking all pretty & fabulous (hehe), we went to Kak Azah's place for the official ceremony.

The ceremony went well and the FoOd... was fantastic. Right after the ceremony, we packed our things and headed to Kota Bahru, the capital of Kelantan. After dinner, freshing up, a short rest and a tv-drama, Kak Jane, Dira, Hazmi & I went for a drive. More ppl would have followed if we went earlier, around 10p.m. or so but since we were stuck to the tv, everyone else had gone to sleep. Look what we found... m0r3 FoOdDd...

to be continued...

Happy Birthday Hubby!

hey ppl, ppl, ppl. Sorry for the long silence. I've been, u know, BUSY. Currently doing Vacation Training with PwC and I'm glad to say, I sort of enjoy my time there. For the lack of enthusiasm, blame the early mornings and very-far-client's-offices. It would usually take me nearly 2 hours one-way so daily, I spend about 4 hours commuting. But I do think the experience is worthwhile and the ppl are awesome. Owh, have u heard... the exam result is out? Happy to announce my hard work pays, though I hope to actually do better. Next time, I guess.

My dearest Leo Hubby just celebrated his 22nd birthday yesterday. Happy Big Birthday to you, LOVE! *Muacks* His housemates gave him a very big celebration by chasing him around the area while throwing eggs at him. I wonder... What joy do they get by doing this??? *sigh* Boys will be boys. But just a day earlier, his family celebrated his bday at their home in Nilai and of course I'm invited ;) and I'm glad to be there. I am always glad to have him by my side. Hmm, we've been seeing each other every weekend lately. AWESOME! hehe.
Hey, what's wrong with this Dunia Baru show? At first, it was showed on Thursdays. Then, changed to Mondays. Yesterday, when I came back from work, it wasn't that show shown on tv. Haiyah, why change never tell one? Why change at all? Who to blame here??? BOJOLLL... Kau laa ni introduce kat aku. Dah aku suke tgk, tayang suke hati jer. Aku nak tgk tv laa, taknak bace buku. Penat. haha.
Well, I guess that's all for now. I need my beauty sleep. Will try to update when I have the time and energy to do so. Tadaa...

Unplanned trip

hey peeps... I'm back... after a loooonngg week. What's up??? Last Wednesday, my sweet housemates, Dina & Aida treated me for my bday at Nando's Mid-valley. We ate a LOT until we were very2 full and couldn't even finish our brownies-ice-cream-dessert (we bought it for charity... yeah, right) haha. Right after that, I rushed to Pudu to catch a bus to Melaka. Reached Kota Mas around 8pm (it's not Kota Mas anymore... I thought I'd stopped at the wrong place) Hazmi picked me up (as always... obviously). Went for dinner... where Abby's bf, Daus came joined us. Went for a drink again with Hazmi's housemates before we started studying. Yesss, that's right. I went studying with them. What subject, ppl? Statistics... *sigh* I thought I'm over with that. Apparently not. Went to sleep at Izza's place around 3am. (Wwooppss... sorry. But they do study very late at night... I mean, in the morning, whatever.) Thursday was a little bit boring. Woke up late in Izza's bed, lunch, shopping, dinner, study study study. And it's Friday. Met hubby outside the exam hall and went for breakfast.
Now, this is interesting. I was supposed to go back home that day. That's what I planned to do. I didn't have any extra clothes for anything else. But then, hubby just told me that his mum actually invited me to join their family trip to Johor to send Kak Ina to the groom's side. That's Great! but what was I supposed to wear? I didn't have an appropriate attire; baju kurung, shoes, tudung, etc. Grr... he didn't tell me earlier. Lucky me, Izza has some baju kurung. She even offered me her heels. hehe. Thanx. That's very nice of her. I borrowed the baju kurung. But I guess I'd do fine without the heels... hopefully. Surrounded by these tall ppl, I'd still be the shortest, no matter how high my heels are so it doesn't really matter actually. The trip was GGrrRReEEAaatT! Ngehehe. Of course it was. Got to spend time with this family. It's a golden opportunity. I even got to be the camera girl coz his mum forget to bring one. (But I don't think I did a great job with that especially when I got my food. Actually, when I arrived at the groom's house, the hired cameraman was always in my way. So I figured better let him do HIS job and let me eat peacefully. Plus Dira also had a camera. She was better with it anyway.)
We came back on Saturday. Went to help mummy on Sunday at her office, packing and throwing stuff. Her department has moved to a new location so she had to empty her room. Went to PTPTN with hubby on Monday. Continued helping mummy that evening and the next day, until I get my rest on Wednesday. So it's a whole week before I get my rest. Woke up today... Thursday and did some washing. Went to KLCC to celebrate Dina's bday with some KMYS ppl and tmrw I'm going to Melaka again. MMU's hosting an IT fair this weekend. And I have a few things on my list; a laptop for mummy, a router and a hard disk. Yeah, that's shopping that I LIKE! I don't like other kinds of shopping. *sigh* not quite normal yet. Getting there, halfway there, but not quite there yet. Slowly... Will be there soon, or never. depends. What am I blabbering about? Anyway, come and drop by. Maybe there's something for you too. I'm sleepy. Need to take my beauty sleep now. It's going to be a long day tomorrow. And I'm going to start my vacation training next week. So good luck to me eyh? Laters...

Kak Ina & Abg Nadzry's Wedding

15 June 2006: Nikah

Went with mummy & abg, I was excited to be invited to this event. Only family, close relatives and close friends are invited to Akad Nikah ceremony so this really means a Lot to me. =) I couldn't get a good shot from where I was. Don't wanna look too eager so I didn't move any closer. But this is good enough. The bride looked BEAUTIFUL in white. The groom did it with only ONE lafaz... very impressive. Apparently he had been practising that for several days already. :) Seems like hard work pays. The Kadi is the same age as me so technically he's younger than the newly-weds. The ceremony went well. Dinner (delicious N9's masakan kampung) was served soon after.

17 June 2006: The night b4 Kenduri
I came over just to see if there's anything I can help with, apparently none. Had Grilled Salmon Steak for dinner at Restoran As-Salam near their house where suddenly Hazmi's lil sis Abby, her bf Daus, their cousin Dilla, her bf Abg Salleh, and another cousin Nadia joined us. Was a very kecoh dinner which ended with Hazmi paying the bill. haha. We couldn't decide where to sleep that night: Nilai or KL. Mcm dah kawin laa plak kan, umah sendiri ke umah mentua. :p Kak Ina & Nadia tried to persuade me to stay but when Abby & Dilla wanted to sleep at Allson Kelana with their relatives, we went back to KL. Hence, we did not join the family's karaoke night as it was already late.

18 June 2006: Kenduri of the Bride's side & The Bride's 23rd Birthday
The Kenduri was scheduled to start at 12pm. Having arrived @12.10pm, Hazmi & I were a little bit late. Not because we overslept but we had to go to Mambau, KLIA and to Bangi before we could go back to Nilai. So actually we were on time. It's just that I signed up to give bunga telur that day so I had to rush. Had a chance to meet more ppl including Kak Azah (Abg Mi's wife-to-be), Hanisah Salehin (my 1-year TKC junior, apparently daughter to Hazmi's Mum's close friend) and of course, more relatives. The bride & groom arrived at 1pm, accompanied by the groom's family. PDRM's kompang team played the kompang to welcome them. Bersanding right away and the merenjis ceremony was carried out soon after. The bride & groom looked stunning in their pink and green suits. Proceeded outside for Makan Beradat. The Bride cut a pulut kuning "cake" for her birthday, followed by the newly-weds cutting their lovely white wedding cake. Then, it was photography session before the couple went to meet and greet the guests. Their pelamin was beautifully decorated in cream colour with fresh roses of red and pink. The bride's make up artist is Nurul Shukur, Siti Nurhaliza's favourite make up artist. The food was delicious; ayam masak merah, daging rendang etc. In conclusion, the wedding ceremony was a REAL success.

Really enjoyed myself being around his family, meeting ppl & welcoming guests. Thankful that this family treats me really nicely. Stayed around until Hazmi's ready to move after he finished packing & loading his things into the car. MMU's term has started so back to school to you :p hehe. Went back home with a goodie back for mummy and 3 bouquet of roses for me. hahahaha. Special thanx to Hubby, his parents, his 2 sisters Kak Ina & Abby, and his 2 cousins Dilla & Nadia for a Wonderful Memory...

ps: Darkie just gave birth this morning to 2 lovely kittens. Mummy was forced to stay up with Darkie as she refused to let mummy sleep. Halfway through the process, she actually paused to tell us that she was tired by meow-ing and panting with her mouth open while looking at us. What laa Darkie. We know it's very tiring. Don't have to pause JUST to tell us that.

Girls Day Out

Hey everyone! I have a lot to tell but I don't have that much time to write. Not that I was busy going places, I was busy sleeping. Haha. Anyway, Tuesday afternoon, Zanna, Ima & Hudam arrived at my house. Left their bags, waited for me to get ready and then we went to Istana Budaya to buy our tickets for Bangsawan Naga Chini. After that, we went to KLCC, had our lunch at the food court, went our own ways to settle some errands and watched Cars @ TGV. I really wanted to watch this animation because, as the title suggests, it is a story about cars, specifically car racing... and for an additional satisfaction, Michael Schumacher is the guest star. My comment??? THIS IS MY FAVOURITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME... of course on the same level as ANASTASIA. hehe. Can't challenge my obsession of that movie.

We performed our Zohor prayers before we went back home. Hudam went out with her bf, Haris, who would send her to Istana Budaya straight away. That left the 3 of us at home. Waited for maghrib and started dressing up for the play. We were supposed to be there 10 minutes before it started, which is at 8.20pm. But we only got out of the house at 8pm. Haslin, who was already waiting at Istana Budaya, was restless. Hehe. Lucky us, Hazmi came to our rescue and arrived just in time to pick us up. We made it on time... actually 5 minutes early @8.15pm. Thank you, my white knight... my knight in shining armour... hehe =p

Comments? Hmm, I think it was ok. I waited to see the naga (dragon) from the start but it only came out in the last scene... The lighting for the naga's fire was fantastic but I don't quite like the dark setting of the play. Not that it is their fault. The setting was suppose to take place in the swamp and in the woods. Hazmi like that they put in jokes along the way but Hudam said that make it less Bangsawan than it should be. After the play, we hang out in the lobby for awhile and got to see and meet some celebrities. The actors & actresses: Jehan Miskin, Ako Mustafa, Serina, Aziz Satar and some ppl I don't know. Others: Chef Wan, Khai, Rosma, Vaneeda Imran, Nasha Aziz. Took pictures with Nasha Aziz & Vaneeda Imran. Then, we took off.

Lucky us Hazmi drove his Kia instead of Satria that night as we packed all 6 into the car. Had our supper at NZ before Hazmi dropped us off at home. Hudam slept the earliest, Ima offered to sleep on the floor, Zanna, Lin & I slept around 4.30am... talking, catching up, gossiping. Well, in short, Girls Night In. The next day, Hudam went to have lunch with her bf and the rest of us had our lunch near my house. Zanna wanted to buy some tudung so we went to Pasar Besar Gombak. Met Hudam at KLCC, bought a gift for Mash baby and off we went to Kelana Jaya. Just before we arrived that we noticed that we could not all fit into a cab (legally). So Lin called her sister Kak Lina to pick us up but little that she know that there was 5 of us so she brought a friend along. Hence, this time, we had to pack 5 of us at the back of a Proton Aeroback. huii... (Imagine that. Lin dah sgt sakit pinggang & Kesian also Kak Lina, dah laa last minute call, had a drive a very packed car somemore.) But the trip was worth it. Mash's baby, Hazeeq is a real cutie. Poor little baby was hiccup-ing all the time. All of us had our chance to hold the baby but I don't think it was a success for me =p.

Well, I really miss my TKC days, especially my friends. Am really glad we still find some time to hang out, have fun & does crazy stuff together. Hope we can do this again and have others to join us as well. (but if so, we definitely need a bigger place to stay and more transport =p although that would take away some of the fun, menyempit atas katil & dalam kereta) Thanx to Zanna who initiated this outing. Hope you guys enjoy your stay and please come again ;)
