Hubby was home early last night. Around 11, we settled down and ready for bed. When we were lying down waiting to board the ship to dreamland, Batrisyia suddenly rolled to her side and was on her front (meniarap). She could actually do that soon after she crossed her 4th month but back then, it was a struggle to keep her head up and she would cry for help... for someone to turn her back to the normal facing-up position. Last night, however, she was very proud to show to us, both her parents, that she can now hold her head up for a considerable amount of time. Why did I say proud? When we acknowledged how clever she was for doing that, she smiled and kept looking left and right to mama and papa. When I turned her back and asked her to go to sleep, she did it again! And we had to clap and cheer her for a few minutes until she was satisfied and finally agreed to go to sleep. I am so touched that she made it a point to show her newly-acquired skill to us. Clever girl, sayang.
She also practised another skill last night i.e. grabbing. She was particularly uncomfortable during the night due to her cough. It didn't last the whole night but enough to wake her up and made her upset. Every time she woke up, she somehow felt the need to wake me and and how did she do that? By pulling my hair! Not once, okay. A few times! Adoi. Sakit la, manja.
